- Allen Meadows -An all but invisible application of wood frames the spicy, floral, earth and sauvage-inflected red and dark currant, violet and plums scents. There is both good intensity and freshness to the muscular and more mineral-driven medium weight plus flavors that terminate in a distinctly austere if hugely long finish. This is noticeably less evolved at present than any of the prior wines and is clearly going to require extended cellaring.
