- Allen Meadows - Outstanding ! True to the Mugnier style, this is also wonderfully pure with its expressive nose of earthy red pinot fruit that also exhibits notes of underbrush and a mineral component that is picked up by the vibrant and well-delineated middle weight flavors. The mid-palate is relatively refined and the Nuits origins don't really show up until the firm and mouth coating finish and even then it's more in the way of muscle than rusticity. Lovely.
