- Allen Meadows -This has turned out better than I originally foresaw and in particular because it has managed to successfully integrate the relatively generous wood it displayed from barrel to better allow the ever-so-slightly exotic aromas of pear, dried apricot, spiced tea and soft lemon zest nuances to be appreciated. The sappy and attractively textured medium-bodied flavors possess solid volume before terminating in a balanced, delicious and lingering finish. Note that this should be approachable after only a year or two of bottle age if desired.
