- Allen Meadows -While there is a very mild whiff of reduction present, it eventually blows off to reveal just a trace of wood on the ripe and moderately earthy aromas of red, blue and black pinot fruit. There is fine richness to the naturally sweet and impressively concentrated medium-full flavors that really stain and coat the palate on the lingering and well-balanced finish. While this could easily be enjoyed now, for my taste it could use a few more years of bottle age first though with that said, it wouldn't be infanticide to open a bottle now. I would note that there is noticeable gas so a quick decantation would help. Tasted several times over the years with mostly consistent notes as my scores have ranged from 93 to 94 points.
