- Allen Meadows - The layered and notably ripe nose has definitely turned secondary and is largely dark fruited with plenty of earth, leather and spice notes along with a whiff of the sauvage. There is excellent density and richness to the robust, powerful and impressively scaled flavors that coat the palate on the sappy and palate coating finale that offers superb length. The tannins are largely resolved and this is drinking as well as it's going to though I underscore that it should be capable of holding at this level for years.
